Fashion shows often tend to be glamorous, full of life, energetic, and sensational. Although this show wasn’t to the standards I expected it to be, based on where the venue was.
International Fashion Week Dubai Season 6 took place in Sofitel Hotel – The Palm Jumeirah on the 6th and 7th of April 2018.The arrangements were fantastic, the dressing sense of the guests and organisers shunned sparkles in my eyes via their glittery and fabulous dressing sense. I was honestly impressed by the crowd, it wasn’t a typical crowd but rather quite a diverse crowd from all professions and not just the fashion industry specialists – Good to see normal people as well!
The Show itself
There was a long list of designers were spread across both days. The designers had come from around the world; Countries such as Poland, Indonesia, Syria, Egypt and so on.
My most favourite designer was _________,
primarily because she showed designs that were quite wearable, stylish, full of colour, and sprang out “I look like a million bucks” to me.
The other designers did a wonderful job as well but some designs didn’t quite stand out due to various reasons.
There were quite a few administrative disasters such as receiving guests, the front desk was clueless as to who they were talking to and what they have to give media [Which were supposed to be media passes, which I got from them myself later].
Coming to the actual fashion show, the models were spectacular and so were some of the esteemed guests present there; From CEO’s to supermodels from around the world.
Being on the front seat has it’s own flavour and helps you observe the designs more thoroughly and closely. In this show, I loved the seating and was moved by the choreography of the models. Despite the few mistakes the models made [which were quite obvious] it was fair to say that they looked incredible and breath-taking.
